I. Position:
Host

II. Job Summary:
The Host provides warm, friendly, and immediate greetings to members and guests upon arrival. They are responsible for ensuring the reception area is presentable and ready for guests to enter as well as taking reservations and making sure all tables are ready for dining. Seats, and presents clean menus to members and guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner. 

III. Job Tasks (Duties):
  • Greeting and seating guests, presenting menus to guests, enthusiastically informing them of special menu items.
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to be an effective team player.
  • Providing members and guests with hospitality in a manner that achieves company service standards and exceeds their expectations.
  • Ensures menus and wine lists are on podium and ready to present. Inspects and replaces menus as needed.
  • Checks reservation list and messages.
  • Reviewing the floor plan to assess current and upcoming table availability changes.
  • Observing tables and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
  • Answering phone in accordance with Company standards; answering questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
  • Interacting with members coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Filling to go orders, if applicable.
  • Ensures each table is set and decorated to the Clubs standards.
  • Supporting servers and kitchen staff in other duties as required.
  • Taking pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy.
  • Displaying integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.
  • Performing other duties as directed by management.
IV. Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication.
  2. Proficient with Microsoft Office
  3. Warm, friendly, hospitable personality; able to communicate and work well with others
  4. Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations including food, beverages, service techniques and guest interaction.

Job summary:

a full-time position that provides excellent service to club members and guests. Job duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Welcome any member or guest upon entry into the grill or card room
  • Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
  • Inform the member of daily specials
  • Taking and entering of any food or drink orders
  • Ensures timely delivery of food and beverage items
  • Clearing and resetting tables as the need arises
  • Must be well versed in menu items and food descriptions
  • Knowledge of wine and the ability to suggest pairings with any meal that has been ordered
  • Ensures preparation of the meal is to the members/guests liking
  • Support and assists teammates as needed and demonstrates team mentality
  • Must have a polished and professional demeanor with the ability to be consistently positive in their dealing with the members
  • Perform well under pressure demonstrating composure and adaptability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Keeps side station and back kitchen areas clean
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Any side work that has been assigned for the night
  • Preforms clean up and closing duties as assigned by the manager
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • 2 years of serving experience in a private club or resort required

Job summary:

Performs related banquet (dining room) set-up tasks:
  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating
  • Takes beverage order and serves food in specified station
  • Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages served with and after the meal
  • Empties ashtrays and clears soiled dishes as needed
  • Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and dining room
  • Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints as soon as they occur
  • Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware,
    etc., and re-setting the room


Job Type:

Part-time
 
  • Prepares all required items.
  • Sets up service units with needed items.
  • Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards.
  • Notifies Chef of expected shortages.
  • Hard working, positive attitude and be a team player
  • Ensures that assigned works areas and equipment and clean and sanitary.
  • Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.
  • Sets up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station.
  • Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
  • Covers, dates and neatly stores all leftover products that are re-usable.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by Sous Chef or Executive Chef.

Job Description: Greenskeeper
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, work on detailed tasks involved in golf course maintenance, landscape and light construction projects as needed.
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment.
  • Rake and maintain all sand bunkers.
  • Set up tee boxes with cups and maintain grass areas.
  • Operate machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
  • Prepare soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
  • Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean-up).
  • Protect all company assets.
  • Various tasks require physical management of tools and equipment during periods of extreme weather conditions.
  • General knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in golf course and landscape maintenance work.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions related to safety compliance.

Supportive Functions
In addition, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Golf Course Superintendent based upon the particular requirements of Friendly Hills Country Club:
  • Participate as team player with all departments.
  • Additional duties as necessary and assigned.
 
 
Required Experience:
Requirements for the position
 
Education and Licensing:
  • High school or equivalent education required.
Skills and Experience:
  • Past golf course maintenance and landscape experience preferred. Experience with use of mowers, trimmers, golf cart and multiple machinery operation required.
Grooming
  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Friendly Hills Country Club Standards.
 
Physical Demands:
  • Most work tasks are performed outdoors.
  • Walking and standing are required for most of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur occasionally in the process of communicating with guests and supervisors.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Other:
Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the fluctuation in business levels in the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of Friendly Hills Country Club.

Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of Friendly Hills Country Club’s facilities. Team members who violate FHCC’s rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
